Who is responsible

The practice of Dr. Danousch Missaghian, ENT and Head & Neck Surgeon, consulting at Quttainah Specialized Hospital, Al Wasl Road, Umm Suqeim 3, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is responsible for personal information collected through this website.

Information collected

Two kinds of information are collected, and they are treated differently.

• Information you provide: your name, telephone number, email address, the area of care you select, your preferred language, and anything you write in the message field of the enquiry form.
• Information collected automatically: pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, the site or advertisement that referred you, and campaign parameters in the link you followed. This is collected only after you accept analytics and advertising cookies.

Please do not send medical details through this website

The enquiry form is for arranging an appointment. It is not a secure clinical channel and it is not monitored continuously. Please do not use it to send test results, images, or a detailed medical history, and do not use it for anything urgent.

Clinical information is taken during the consultation itself and is held in the medical record of the treating facility, under that facility’s own privacy arrangements and the health-data rules that apply to it.

Why the information is used

• To answer your enquiry and arrange an appointment.
• To contact you about that enquiry by telephone, WhatsApp or email, using the details you gave.
• To understand how the website is used, so it can be improved.
• To measure the results of advertising campaigns, where you have consented to advertising cookies.
• To meet legal or regulatory obligations that apply to the practice.

Legal basis

Where you submit the enquiry form, the information is processed with your consent and in order to respond to your request. Analytics and advertising cookies are set only with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

Personal data in the United Arab Emirates is handled in line with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the equivalent rights under the GDPR are also honoured.

Who the information is shared with

Personal information is never sold. It is shared only with service providers who help operate the website and the practice, and only to the extent needed.

• Cloudflare, Inc. — website hosting and delivery.
• Google LLC — website analytics and advertising measurement, where you have consented.
• Meta Platforms, Inc. and other advertising platforms — campaign measurement, where you have consented.
• The email provider used to deliver enquiry notifications to the practice.
• WhatsApp, if you choose to start a conversation through that channel.

International transfers

Some of these providers process data outside the United Arab Emirates. Where that happens, the transfer is made under the contractual safeguards those providers offer for international transfers.

How long it is kept

Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and any follow-up, and then for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the analytics service, ordinarily no longer than fourteen months.

Your rights

You may ask for a copy of the information held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to its use, or withdraw consent for cookies. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.

Requests are made to [email protected] and are answered within a reasonable period. You may also raise a concern with the UAE Data Office.

Security

The website is served over an encrypted connection and access to enquiry information is limited to the people who need it in order to respond. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, which is the reason for the request above not to send medical details through the form.

Children

This website is not directed at children. Where an appointment is being arranged for a child, the enquiry should be made by a parent or legal guardian.

Changes

This policy may be updated. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
